Postgraduate Courses

• The University of Pharmacy, Mandalay was founded in 2000 and Department of Pharmacology was also established since then. At that time, Professor Dr. May Hla Thwin (MBBS, MMedSc, PhD) was the first head of the Pharmacology department.  During these periods, there were only one demonstrator and one laboratory assistant.
• From the academic year 2002 to 2009, Professor Dr. Khin Maung Myint (MBBS, MMedSc, PhD) who took the duty of the Pro-Rector, Rector and Rector Advisory of the University of Pharmacy, Mandalay acted as the head of the department.  
• In May 2009, Professor Dr. Khin Maung Myint retired and Professor Dr. San San Nwe (MBBS, MMedSc, PhD) from the Department of Pharmacology, University of Medicine, Mandalay was promoted to the University of Pharmacy, Mandalay as the Acting Rector. She became Rector in April 2010. She also acted as the head of the Pharmacology department till 7.7.2010.
• In the academic year 2010, Dr. Nwe Nwe Than (MBBS, MMedSc, PhD) worked as the lecturer and head of the department and then transferred to the University of Medicine, Magway in the academic year 2011.
• From 26.12.2011 to 16.7.2014, Dr. Myat Min (MBBS, MMedSc, PhD) acted as the lecturer and head of the department and then transferred as the Associate Professor to the University of Medicine, Magway.
• Dr. Aung Kyaw Moe (MBBS, MMedSc) was transferred from the University of Dental Medicine, Mandalay to the University of Pharmacy, Mandalay as the lecturer and head of the department on 16.7.2014. Now he has been working as the head of the department till now.
• The total departmental teaching staffs became seven in number: one lecturer/ head, one lecturer, three assisstant lecturers and four demonstrators. There are three laboratory assistants.
